I have a TTW GemV2 with a 42 pound copper platter. This was a demo unit. I did get a brand new momentus motor and speed control. If the motor pod is set too tight to the platter you will get motor vibration. Tap it out a bit just so it drives the platter. Try and dress the oring with 1000,1500 grit emery paper. The more accurate the diameter, the more accurate and consistent the speed will be. What you need to understand about CTTW. Yes, it's only for diamonds. CTTW refers to the weights of the diamonds in a ring. If you're interested in, say, a sapphire and diamond engagement ring, the CTTW doesn't consider the sapphires. Important to note: Companies that use lab-made diamonds still use CTTW, so it isn't necessarily a measure of just real diamonds.
